Wordless Wednesday- Real Life Homeschool
Often while I teach my son, my two little girls simply play. During break I wandered back to their room. The room we cleaned the night before. Every toy put in its place, floor swept, sheets changed.
An open door revealed twenty minutes of freedom.
What happened to your room?!
Sunshine explained with a grin,
We exploded it!
More Wordless Wednesday

Kids sure know how to maximize their freedom time!!
Now that is a “real” picture-no words necessary ;)
But the pure joy and freedom of a lively imagination is worth it!!
Wonderful photo!!
So it’s not just us. Whew! When that happens at our house I have to just back up and close the door. Otherwise might really freak out. :)
They are adorable playing in those dresses. How can you possibly be upset? :)
Oh no! Funny and really cute – but I am sure it was not so much to you at first. ( :
Did you get lots of great ideas for keeping the girls occupied (aside from playing salon and exploding their room): D at the chat the other night? I really wanted to do it but I am really struggling to limit my computer time. ) :
Love the girls room BTW – I love pink and yellow!
Ohmy! been there seen this LOL! As a veteran homeschooler & mom of 7 this site looks pretty normal to me lol! But hey they were quite, right:) Well maybe not if the room “exploded”!!!!
Grace, Kaye, and Bonny,
Thank you.
Anna-Marie,
I think anyone with children has rooms that look like this on occasion (or daily around here.) And I wasn’t upset, because Sunshine’s comment made me laugh out loud. :)
Mandi,
I laughed, so I know I’ve relaxed in my eleven years of parenting. ;)
The chat was nice. So many brilliant ladies! I’m glad you were doing what you need to though. I have been on the computer way too much the past few days. Whew.
Yes, there were lots of good ideas. I want to compile them into a post, but wasn’t up to the challenge last night. Some of the ideas were using puppets, having older ones “teach” the younger, listening to books on tape, and keeping lessons short.
Belinda,
Oh, yes. I hadn’t thought about that! During my childhood, my brother lit firecrackers in my room while I visited a friend. My bedspread was smoldering when I got home. My mom didn’t laugh about that. :(
Yep, it’s a-sploded. :)
YIKES!
May I say that it does NOT stop when they are older and still ahve that sort of freedom? Just the other day my 9 and 11 year old informed us that they exploded their room. The good news is that now THEY clean it up.
That’s about the time that Mommy’s head exploded:-)
Oh, my! That looks an awful lot like Tiger’s room.
all of our rooms exploded! but they look so cute in there playing.
haha…that’s the best excuse for a messy room ever!! :)
Ahahahaha!!!! Freedom, sweet freedom! I love your blog!
