We can't feed the birds here...
the squirrels come to steal it.
But, we do get birds with beautiful singing voices!
I leave my sliding doors open to hear them.

I love your descriptions! Especially Sweet Pea chasing the squirrel away. I can see all of it happening!
Thanks for the reminder about the Great Backyard Bird Count in the post above this one. We count our feeder visitors a couple of times a month for E-Bird, but I always forget the big count.

Peace and Laughter!

Mandi,
Thanks for sharing that book!

And I will tell Bug. He'll be thrilled others are creating his project. Please post pictures, if you can.

Hey Renae,

Love these bird posts! So timely too - February is 'bird month' at our house for our afternoon nature studies. I have a really great book recommendation for you - 'For the Birds: A Month-by-Month Guide to Attracting Birds to Your Backyard' by Anne Schmauss, Mary Schmauss, and Geni Krolick - It is really a fantastic guide - We are going to begin using it next month.

Oh and tell your son that we plan on making his bird feeder! When I post our month's studies at my blog I will make sure to link to it. Such a great, simple idea! ( :

Have a blessed day today my friend!

Love,
