Happy Birthday. Is there any cake left?
We are so thankful for your miracle too! He sure looks like you in that picture!
That’s great! I have to bookmark the instructions b/c I’m pretty sure someone around this house will want one for his birthday!
That is an amazing cake! I can’t let my husband see this or he will want one for his birthday next month. :)
What a handsome young man you have on your hands Renae.
Great job on the cake!
What a cute cake and a cuter boy.
That is awesome! I will have to remember that–I have a couple of Star Wars fans here….
Happy Birthday, Bug!
Cute cake and handsome young man you’ve got there.
I read your post about his birth – I can only imagine the emotions you feel each birthday.
Blessings,
Shannon
At 11 my son was still wild about Star Wars…it’s totally gone now. :( A mere 2 years later… Enjoy this.
I read the blog you pointed to about your miracle child. I would be thankful 11 years later, too. He is a very cute young man.
Happy WW!
It looks like he had a great birthday:-) That’s an awesome cake too!
Renae,
You are awesome! I only wish I could be that creative! I admire anyone who can make unique cakes.
Yay you!
The cake looks awesome!!!
You make me jealous of your talent. I can never get a cake to rise evenly unless I make cupcakes. Good job on the cake. Looks like he had a good birthday.
Happy WW!
Awesome cake!
Thanks for the nice comment about my Dad.
Happy Birthday Bug!!
That is a totally cool cake, we love Star Wars here too.
Happy Birthday Bug!!!!
Great cake Renae!!! I made one this past year for one of the twins’ for his birthday cake. But I was not as creative as you, I used a Wilton cake pan I found on ebay. :-)
That is a great cake!
Renae, I love the cake. Marissa wants a Domokun Cake for her birthday in February but I am not supposed to use any chocolate in the frosting! ARGH!!
Thank you. I appreciate all your comments.
Emily,
Really? This obsession will pass? I’ll try to enjoy it then. ;)
Terri H,
Here’s my recipe for birthday cake. I usually had to make two cakes a birthday, because one would always fail. Since switching to this recipe, I haven’t had any trouble. Hope that helps.
Summer,
That is creative, too. I’m too scattered to think ahead and find a cake pan. I usually plan a week ahead of time, so I’m thankful for the internet.
Julie,
Can you use black food coloring? It’s not nearly as tasty as chocolate, but might work. That’s what I used for the top of R2-D2.
What a neat cake. :)
I’ve never made one so elaborate but mom used to.
Hi! The cake looks great, and your son looks so pleased! Thanks for sharing the pic.
