		<description>I&#039;m going over to read the rest of the article right now -- looks like a good read!  I think this notion is kind of ingrained in our culture -- that whatever is done out of habit , ritual, formality, etc. is not authentic, but that which arises spontaneously or impulsively from feeling, is.  Funny, I was just reading last night CM&#039;s thoughts on how habits are important for this very reason -- that it is our habits which direct our *unconcious* words and actions, which in turn reveal our true character.  We all act out of habit most of the time, for good or ill, so we might as well have good habits!</description>
