Madeline Comes to Life

By Renae

Sunshine’s favorite book is Madeline, so when I found these dolls at a church sale my wallet surrendered its cash and made a sweet toddler giddy.

Madeline Comes to Life

To preserve the dolls and my sanity the small pieces and extra clothes have been stored in an undisclosed location for two years. Imagine Sunshine’s delight when I brought her a bag of accessories for her beloved “Madelines.”

She hasn’t played with anything else for days.

Great face! Until I read they were Madeline dolls, I was wondering about the nun. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a nun doll before.

We had a Madeline doll that played in the doll house for several years. Never could find of the the socks. I think Madeline herself is wonderful but HATE the books and refuse to read them to the kids. I am awful. The lack of rhythm and poor rhyming scheme drive me nuts.

I am sure your little one is over the hedge with happiness. Wish I could find our Madeline playmat, would send it along.

Sweeeeet. We “recycle” toys for younger kids. We put some out and put some away. Then every couple weeks or so we rotate.

That’s such a good idea to stash the clothes…it made your money stretch WAY further…

    Heather,
Yeah, that’s why I put all the little socks and shoes away for awhile. Most likely they will still get lost, but maybe it will be a slower process now that she is a little older.

We really like the books. Maybe I need to read Shakespeare for awhile or something. :)

    Mrs. C,
Rotating toys is a new idea for me. When I only had a couple kids it didn’t matter so much, but now I’m learning. ;)

That is a beatiful collection of Madeline dolls. My daughter is always looking for a doll playing buddy which usually ends up being me.
