I was just thinking about that balance today. If I stop teaching because my child wiggles or whines, he will never learn self-government. But if I try to cram everything into one lesson, he is likely to forgot it or not absorb anything at all.

Thank you for commenting. I’m glad I’m not the only one needing this reminder. :) I am always looking for other homeschoolers using Principle Approach, so I’m glad you found me.

My children not only let me know with their pleading eyes that their brain is full, but “flutter in the breeze” is not an exaggeration.

I’d register, too! I sent an email to tell her how much I appreciate the blog. A subscription option would be nice, but she may not want to moderate comments. It doesn’t hurt to propose an idea though, does it? :)

Thanks for your encouragement! I use the P.A. also. It is so easy to cram all that good stuff down their little throats! I think their faces are sometimes saying, enough is enough, Mom! Thanks for the reminder. God’s burden is light….
