    Hey Renae!
Thanks for your comment! I love the art calendar idea. Ever since we started the poem a day thing from Ambleside Online, I’ve wondered about doing the art/painting thing too. Now it seems feasible.

How’s the PA going? I’m loving our JBC lessons this year! I could use more PA in my history lessons though. Gotta keep working on that.

    Have a happy New Year!

    Blessings,
    Melissa

    Melissa,
I like the idea of a poem a day, too. Thanks for sharing it. I haven’t looked at much Ambleside curriculum other than the artist studies.

About the only thing that we are really doing Principle Approach style is history. We do discuss principles as they come up, and that isn’t always during lesson time. The principles are all about life, right? :)

I am interested in purchasing JBC. It would be good for me! I used a portion of it many years ago in teaching a girl’s Sunday school class, and I learned so much. Last year, we focused on Bible history. Our study put the stories in a bit more context. Now, we are using Small Talks on Big Questions. It is a nice devotional, but I want to do a more in depth study.

    Have a blessed New Year!

    Jenny,
I’m happy to pass it on. Usually I kind of store ideas in my mind to think about, but this one is such a simple way to add beauty I grabbed it. Enjoy!
